20 Everyday Challenges That Movies & TV Make Look So Easy

17. Closing Time

closing2 I have had my fair share of part-time, after school jobs that were just as lame as they are in the movies and on TV. I, however, did not have the luxury of walking out and locking the door behind me after closing time. I, in fact, would have to stay up to an hour and half after closing to count out the registers, make sure there weren€™t any missing bills, go around and clean up the store, etc. Whether movies and TV shows skip over this part to give more time to the plot, I don€™t know, but I could never make it out on time, even if I took measures during my shift to ensure a speedy close up.

16. Getting Discovered

getting discovered How many movies or TV shows are based around a nobody with a huge talent that gets discovered and is given countless amazing opportunities that audiences are both stoked but seriously jealous for? A recent hit, Pitch Perfect, has one such plot. Girl is a singer, girl is heard singing, girl gets to join the a cappella group, girl helps team win championship. Do you know how many songs I have sung in communal bathrooms? Or how many model walks I have done in public, just in hopes that someone will be watching, ready to hand out a different life to me? Too many. They make it look like it happens all the time in movies/TV and I do know that it does actually happen for some people. I just wish it happens half as often as I think it does!
