Avengers 5: Predicting Which Marvel Character Will Be Next To Die
1. Spider-Man
Had it not been for a huge amount of fan backlash, Sony Pictures would have moved forward with a Spider-Man 3 without any sort of creative input from Marvel Studios. Honestly, it's hard to imagine that being anything other than a disaster, and while Sony and Disney have reached a new agreement, it feels like the web-slinger's time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is definitely limited.
Sony remains intent on having Tom Holland's Spider-Man appear in the SPUMC (Sony Pictures' Universe of Marvel Characters), so how do you go about writing Spidey out of the MCU? Well, why not have the young hero follow in his mentor's footsteps by sacrificing himself for his fellow heroes?
Depending on the direction Avengers 5 takes, his demise could very easily be handled in a way which closes the door on him reappearing in the MCU, but leaves it open for a Venom crossover or whatever else Sony has planned for the iconic superhero. Alternatively, this could even lead to the long overdue live-action debut of Miles Morales who steps out of the shadows to replace the fallen Peter Parker...
