7. The Post-Credit Scene – Spider-Man: Far From Home

After the groundbreaking, universe-altering events of Avengers: Endgame, it was the job of everyone's favourite friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man to take the audience by the hand and lead them into the post-Infinity Saga MCU.

Following the Russo brothers' masterpiece was an incredibly tough job, but Spider-Man: Far From Home was a huge success on every level. It was as funny as Homecoming, and depicted Peter as something of a lost child having to cope with the loss of a father figure.

Within this there were some truly outstanding moments, the highlight of which didn't come until midway through the credits. After everyone thought Mysterio had been defeated, he changed Peter's life forever with a manipulated video that painted ol' Web-head as a murderer while revealing his true identity to the world.

This alone would have been an excellent mid-credit scene, but the fact that JK Simmons reprised his role as J. Jonah Jameson for the first time in 12 years, just as over the top and anti-Spider-Man as ever, pushed this into the realms of the elite and opened audience's minds to the genuine possibility of the multiverse and a potential Spider-Verse movie in years to come.
