10 Barcelona Signings Who Completely Flopped At The Nou Camp
4. Philippe Coutinho
The most recent transfer to make this list, but one which couldn't be ignored due to the sheer size of the transfer fee involved.
Coutinho moved to Barcelona in a massive £142m deal back in January 2018, as a year-long pursuit of the Brazilian finally yielded rewards for the La Liga club.
However, despite being one of the best midfielders in the world during his time at Anfield, Coutinho has struggled to get anywhere near the standards necessary at the Nou Camp.
Despite getting game time and becoming a regular for the Catalan club in his first season, he managed only five goals last year as his form suffered a huge dip.
He's since moved on to Bayern Munich as Barcelona seemingly saw the error of their ways.
Coutinho isn't by any means a bad player, and his time with Barcelona has had its good moments, such as his goal in a 5-1 win over Real Madrid.
But, given the fee paid for him, and the way he was expected to kick on and cement himself as one of the world's best, it's hard to not be disappointed by his spell at the Nou Camp.
