French World Cup winner and midfield general, Emanuel Petit, made the big decision to leave the comforts of Arsenal and join Barcelona back in the year 2000.

Along with teammate Marc Overmars, Petit left the Gunners after winning the Premier League and FA Cup and seemingly thinking he had achieved all he could with the London club.

However, signing for one of Europe's giant clubs isn't always the best decison to make, and Petit immediately started to regret his move to La Liga.

Indeed, Petit has even admitted his teammates ignored him on his first day at the club, which tells you quite enough about his time with the club was going to go.

He lasted only a year at the Nou Camp before orchestrating a move back to England as he signed for Chelsea ahead of the Roman Abramovic era.

Petit was a class act for the majority of his career and the honours he won speak volumes. His time with Barcelona on the other hand, is something he would no doubt like to forget.
