10 Benefits To Learning Brazilian Jiujitsu
7. Confidence
As I said near the start, it can be daunting when you start anything new in life. Starting a new job, passing your driving test, it's all a daunting task.
But when you get comfortable in those, it becomes a natural part of your life.
Well, so does Brazilian Jiujitsu.
And I don't mean confidence to be a crime fighter (as we'll get into), I mean just overall confidence. As an instructor to children, I've seen the shyest of child come out of their shell and it's a great feeling.
The same applies to adults. If you're happy to roll round, getting sweaty and trying to stop people playfully trying to murder you, you can take on the world.
There's no harshness to the sport, no mad sense of discipline or failure if you can't get a technique right.
Your coaches are there to help you, not to punish you. If you struggle, they can give you pointers. No one's going to call you rubbish because you don't progress at the same rate as others.
BJJ is literally for everyone.
