A player who needs no introduction, David Silva is easily one of the best players the Premier League has enjoyed hosting over the last decade. Earning the nickname 'Merlin' for his magical playmaking abilities, Silva has scored 48 league goals for Manchester City in 249 appearances and is just coming off the back of one of his best-ever seasons.

Over the last 12 months, Silva scored 9 times and created 11 more goals for his teammates in the Premier League while simultaneously struggling with personal issues that saw his infant son, Mateo, born extremely prematurely. Despite having to fly back and forth to Spain to be with his family between games, Silva continued to show his class and consistency for City and the national side.

With Xavi retired and Iniesta getting older, Silva has grown into a more prominent playmaking role for Spain in recent years and has been in fine form, scoring 7 goals in 9 appearances just last year. The three-time Premier League winner has 120 international caps and has scored 35 times for Spain. He'll be looking to boost that tally further this summer as Spain attempt to regain the World Cup trophy.
