7. Hatem Ben Arfa

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BZUklYnTLq4 With Papiss Cisse yet to show the scoring touch that he displayed in the last half of the previous season, and Demba Ba also unconvincing, Ben Arfa has been the chief instigator of Newcastle's attacking play so far this season. He gave Tottenham's defence a nightmare in the first game of the season, eventually winning and scoring a penalty to give Newcastle the win, and scored an early contender for goal of the season with a stunning strike against Villa.

6. Joe Allen

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cnJjBorWed4&feature=related It has been a poor start for Liverpool, with just a point from 3 games, but the beacon of light in each performance has been former Swansea midfielder Joe Allen. With a passing accuracy average of 94% over the three games and more interceptions and tackles than any other Liverpool player, the Welshman has quickly fit into the system Brendan Rodgers is trying to put in place. He bossed the midfield against Manchester City and impressed in Liverpool's losses despite being surrounded by under-performing players.
