10 Best Players Of World Cup 2018's Group Stage
5. Juan Fernando Quintero
If you'd asked people to name Colombia's best player heading into the World Cup, they'd have spoken of James Rodriguez or Falcao. Few would have suggested that Juan Fernando Quintero would be one of the South Americans' star players this summer, but the Porto man has been outstanding so far.
Quintero's campaign got off to a great start as he scored a sublime free kick in his side's opening game against Japan. Colombia lost that game in the end but Quintero kept on pushing, linking up beautifully with fellow midfield mastermind Rodriguez and creating some huge chances for his teammates in the games to follow.
He assisted Falcao in Colombia's 3-0 demolition of Poland, and it was his corner that landed perfectly on Yerry Mina's head for the group-winning goal in the side's crucial match against Senegal. In short, Quintero has easily been one of Colombia's most influential players so far and could earn himself a big money move this summer thanks to these fantastic performances.
