Manchester United have been the giants of English - and indeed world - football since the early 1990s. As a result, going to Old Trafford - the Theatre of Dreams - and taking all three points has been an almost impossible task. In fact, up until 2012, Spurs hadn't managed it since 1989 when Gary Lineker scored Spurs' winner when Terry Venables in charge. So, to go there in 2012 and take all three points was a huge achievement for the Lilywhites - a victory 23 years in the making. A Johnny Evans own goal and goals from Gareth Bale and Clint Dempsey gave Spurs a 3-2 win, with Nani and Shinju Kagawa replying. Remarkably, Spurs recorded their second consecutive victory at Old Trafford on New Year's Day this year, as goals from Emmanuel Adebayor and Christian Eriksen sealed a 2-1 win, with Danny Welbeck responding.
