10 Best Premier League Football Kits For 2014/15 Season
9. Spurs Home
Another white kit and another little slice of history. This classy Tottenham strip honours former player and manager Bill Nicholson, the legendary wing-half who made 314 appearances for the Lilywhites between 1938 and 1955. Nicholson would later go on to manage the London club and introduced yellow as a Spurs kit colour during his spell in charge between 1958 and 1974. Primarily white, this strip has a very noticeable yellow trim around the sleeves and collar, and is completed by dark blue lines and the red AIA logo. This year is the tenth anniversary of Nicholson's death and we think it's pretty classy that Tottenham should honour the Englishman in this way. Aesthetically it is pleasing on the eye as well, and we especially like the pattern woven across the shoulder. Fans may notice this kit has the words "Echo of Glory" woven into it, taken from Nicholson's famous quote: "It is better to fail aiming high than to succeed aiming low. And we of Spurs have set our sights very high, so high in fact that even failure will have in it an echo of glory."
