10 Best Premier League Football Kits For 2014/15 Season
4. Spurs Away
Tottenham fans will be happy as their side look very stylish this season - in terms of the kit their wearing, at least. The home shirt has already made our list and so too does this away version. Black and dark navy with a prominent splash of yellow, this shirt is once more inspired by legendary former player/manager Bill Nicholson. As mentioned, it was Nicholson who introduced the colour yellow as a Spurs shirt colour during his managerial tenure and, on the tenth anniversary of his death, the club have decided to honour him by bringing back the vibrant shade. Eagle-eyed fans may also notice something about the stripes running vertically from the collar to the shorts - 11 stripes represent the 11 trophies won during Nicholson's reign. Spurs enjoyed tremendous success under Nicholson during the 1960's and 70's, winning the Football League First Division in 1961 and the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1963. They also won the UEFA Cup in 1972 and reached the semi-finals a year later. Fans will be hoping those yellow stripes will inspire the Lilywhites to further glory in 2014-15.
