Arguably the cheekiest chap in all of football, it’s fitting that Soccer A.M co-host Jimmy Bullard was the one to pull off one of the Premier League’s best orchestrated and funniest celebrations in Hull City’s draw away to Manchester City.

The season prior, Tigers manager Phil Brown famously subjected his squad to an on-pitch half time team talk after they shipped four goals in the first 45 minutes. The gaffer’s public dressing down was a rare sight, and planted an idea in the heads of the players.

Just under a year later, the two teams faced off again, and Jimmy Bullard scored a penalty to draw level. Immediately his teammates sat down in a circle, and Bullard, adopting the Phil Brown role, gave the group an animated ticking off.

Bullard claimed that this was a group decision, and whoever scored was to take the role of the irate manager. It made for a great scene, and Phil Brown said afterwards that he was as amused as anyone by the theatrics - though he’ll most likely be taking his team talks behind closed doors from now on.
