Employing an entirely different style of verbal assault than the other names included in this list, Dominic Cruz has proved an enigma in the MMA world.
With a uniquely unorthodox fighting style, Cruz has found major success in the UFC despite suffering a multitude of injuries. The American has twice won the UFC Bantamweight Title and holds wins over a who's who of the division.
However, it might just be that Cruz is even more proficient intellectually than physically. Landing a job on the UFC Tonight TV show and being part of the UFC commentary team, Cruz has demonstrated his razor-sharp analytical skills time and time again.
When these analytical abilities are fashioned into a means of engaging his opponent verbally, Cruz rarely comes off worst. Unlike many of contemporaries, the bantamweight has a methodical, calculated style of trash talk used to demean his opponents.
In the lead up to his fight with TJ Dillashaw, Cruz had some biting criticism of Dillashaw's fighting style. Completely outmatching the former Team Alpha Male standout verbally before going on to win the fight and the championship belt.
