7. Jean-Kevin Augustin - RB Leipzig To Leeds
The loss of Eddie Nketiah when Arsenal aprubtly called short his loan is just the latest spanner in the works for Leeds's latest floundering promotion challenge. Although still in the top two, the past masters at bottling it have thrown away a sizeable lead from earlier in the season. So the injection of new blood, not to mention a replacement for Nketiah, is vital.
Former Paris Saint-Germain forward Augustin has talent in abundance, such that he is a major capture for a Championship club. His signing for Leeds is also a major coup given that Augustin is yet another forward for whom Man United made a last ditch bid. Nothing is likely to endear a player to the Elland Road crowd like rejecting their age old rivals from the wrong side of the Pennines.
Of course it remains to be seen whether Augustin can turn that obvious raw talent into good performances on a weekly basis within the gruelling Championship calendar. If he can, though, then he could be the final ingredient needed for Leeds finally to make it back to the top flight.
Augustin has arrived from Leipzig on loan with an option to buy, meaning that if he does help Leeds to promotion then they have already got their first Premier League signing lined up. If he doesn't, then he can just be sent back to Germany.
