10 Biggest Failures In The Premier League This Season (So Far)
5. Jack Colback (Newcastle)
Jack Colback was widely seen as a great purchase for Newcastle United and the former Sunderland midfielder put in a number of strong performances during the 2014-15 season. This season Colback was supposed to be one of the most reliable players that held together the new signings and acted a strong leader from the middle of midfield. This hasn't been the case. The midfielder has not raised his game and has looked slow, ill-disciplined and wasteful playing alongside Vurnon Anita in the middle of the park. His position would normally be at risk but due to Newcastle's lack of options (and the sale of Mehdi Abeid) the only player who could replace him is Yoan Gouffran and although Colback has been poor, he isn't as bad as the Frenchman.
