Ever since a glittering junior career which saw him win the US Open and become the world number one, Borna Coric has been earmarked for major things on the ATP Tour and so far, he is living up to his billing.

At the age of 16, Coric was given the opportunity to represent Croatia in the Davis Cup and he impressed in taking six games off Andy Murray.

From that moment forward, he became a force with seven wins being recorded from 13 ATP Tour matches in 2014 - includng a straight-sets victory over Rafael Nadal in Basel - and he backed that up by thrashing Murray in Dubai early in 2015.

He has since fallen from his highest world ranking of 33 but he has still won almost half of his matches in mens' tennis, which is some achievement given it spans over 87 outings.

Coric has failed to kick on from reaching the final in Chennai at the start of 2016 but it should not be long before he is back challenging for a place inside the world's top 30.
