10 Biggest Prospects On The WTA Tour
8. Louisa Chirico
Louisa Chirico is only rated in eighth place because she is almost 20 and is yet to win a Grand Slam match but that should not take anything away from her progression throughout the early stages of her career.
The fact that the American still sits in 126th in the standings despite her lack of results at major tournaments proves that she is considerably talented, something that she displayed when she reached her first WTA final in Limoges at the back end of 2015.
It's that breakthrough that has probably hindered her start to 2016. Chirico had moved to the brink of the world's top 100 but she missed the Australian Open and by the start of April, she had not won a WTA match since her return.
In reality, it should only be a minor blip on the road to a permanent place on the main tour. The United States are blessed with players in both the men's and women's game and that could suit Chirico as she looks to get herself back on track.
