10 Biggest Unsung Heroes In Rangers History

These guys don't get the credit they deserve...

Glasgow Rangers have been around for 143 years. A Scottish football institution, the Glasgow giants have been jousting for supremacy in the Scottish game with rivals Celtic seemingly since the dawn of time. Throughout the club's illustrious and successful history, there have been literally hundreds of memorable players. This list aims to look 10 of the most notable for an entirely different reason. Even though many were heralded at the time for being part of trophy-winning squads, they're often not recalled quite as fondly as others. This article aims to give these men the credit they deserve, whilst also explaining the key roles they played at Ibrox. In the interest of detail, only the modern era will be taken into consideration here. That largely means players from the 1990's and onwards, although it's fair to say that Rangers have had unsung heroes throughout their entire history. The very fabric of the club is built on industrious, hard-working players eager to make an impression. For that very reason, the hardest part about this list is keeping it down to only 10 footballers! From strong-minded defenders, to marvellous midfielders and goal-scoring attackers, every type of outfield player is represented here. These men are some of the biggest unsung heroes in Rangers folklore, and they deserve far more praise for their contributions.
