10 Copa America Players Newcastle Could Realistically Target

9. Kemar Lawrence (Jamaica)

Age: 22 Position: Left-Back Club: New York Red Bulls International Caps (Goals): 15 (2) Estimated Market Value: £1.5 million If it's cheap that Newcastle are after - and that always seems to be a bonus for the Magpies - then left-back Kemar Lawrence could prove to be a shrewd buy. The 15-cap Jamaica international currently plays for New York Red Bulls in the MLS having signed from his native Harbour View following a trial in March. A 2014 Caribbean Cup and two-time Jamaican Premier League winner, Lawrence is most adept as a wing-back who loves to get forward. However, he is also an intelligent defender who covers the position well. Aged just 22, Lawrence would also have significant sell-on value and could even provide cover for Massadio Haidara if Paul Dummett is switched to centre-back by Steve McClaren.
