MMA legend Randy Couture probably hoped his last ever fight after a stellar career inside the UFC would end in highlight reel fashion; he probably just didn't see himself being the one on the receiving end of it.

Competing for the last time in a career that begun in 1997, Couture took on fellow former UFC light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida in front of 55,724 screaming fans in the Rogers Centre in Toronto.

While Couture had shown time and time again that he was incredibly intelligent fighter who could figure out an opponent's weaknesses and use his wrestling to stifle and negate any threats they posed, Machida proved to be too difficult of a puzzle for him.

After easily avoiding his offense during the first round, Machida decided to do his best impression of The Karate Kid by jumping up into the air, faking as if he was going to hit him with his left foot before smashing him with his right. While it isn't the way Couture wanted to end his career, even he had to applaud the technique of his Brazilian opponent.

8. Scott Smith vs. Pete Sell - The Ultimate Fighter: The Comeback Finale

If there's one thing Scott Smith is good at, it's knocking people out. With 15 out of his 18 wins coming via concussive blows he's proven time and time again that his nickname, 'Hands of Steel, is an apt one. Although we could pick anyone one of his magnificent KO wins for this list, it's his one punch finish over Pete Sell that is his arguably his most impressive.

After being caught with a left hook to the liver €“ one of the most debilitating strikes you can use in combat sports €“ Smith bounces off the cage, recoiling in agony at the pinpoint accurate strike. As Smith grabs his stomach in pain, Sell races towards him to finish the fight.

However, just as he's about to land the killer blow, Smith throws a last ditch strike which catches Sell and knocks him clean out. It's the type of ridiculous moment you're most likely to see in an action movie and not an actual fight, but that's what lucky fans watching live got to witness.
