There's nothing better than a comeback victory, especially in combat sports. Watching a fighter be beaten from pillar to post before throwing and landing a Hail Mary strike is the type of thing that makes people jump out of their seats and scream in joy. That's what fans got when Jeremy Stephens connected with one of the nastiest uppercut knockouts in MMA history.

After being schooled by Rafael dos Anjos for two rounds and with the judges likely to be firmly on the Brazilian's side, Stephens knew he had five minutes to finish the fight otherwise he'd have another loss on his record.

With a sense of urgency that fans had never seen from the Californian before, Stephens swung the uppercut seemingly with all the energy he could muster from his hip and lamped Dos Anjos square in the jaw. It was brutal, it was violent but, most importantly, it was timed to perfection and as Stephens ran face first toward the cage and yelled at the crowd in triumph, fans knew they'd just witnessed one of the craziest finishes ever inside the octagon.
