Without taking any credits away from Andy Cole and his legendary status in the Premier League folklore, he also enjoyed company of several attacking stars besides him.

So long before he went hell for leather with Dwight Yorke in Manchester United colours, he was ripping teams to shreds with Peter Beardsley, who joined forces in the newly promoted Newcastle United in 1993/94 campaign.

The Toons took everyone by surprise by finishing third in the final standings, thanks in no small part to the 55 goals contributed by these stars.

Andy Cole announced himself to the English top-flight with 34 goals, a tally that was unmatched by any, whereas Beardsley wasn't far behind with 21 strikes of his own.

Given that the Premier League was still in its formative years back then, the Cole-Beardsley partnership was the original strike partnership of the era and to this day, remains the most prolific duo ever seen.
