10 Footballers You Completely Forgot Signed For Chelsea
1. Magnus Hedman
Swedish goalkeeper Magnus Hedman had built himself quite the reputation as a solid if unspectacular stopper during his time with Coventry City.
A move to Celtic followed for the big 'keeper and he continued to impress before eventually falling down the pecking order as age caught up with him.
However, this didn't stop Chelsea making a move to sign Hedman back in 2006.
A goalkeeping crisis at Stamford Bridge had left the Blues woefully short of options between the sticks. Hedman answered the call, signing a deal with Chelsea until the end of the season.
He failed to make a single appearance for the club but was still there come the season's end, where he eventually found himself released from his contract.
Most players on this list will be somewhere in the memory bank of a section of Chelsea and Premier League fans in general, but there will only be a small number who remember Hedman being a Blue.
Despite not making the field of play, Hedman can hold his head high and say that he did indeed sign for one of England's biggest clubs.
