10 Footballers You Totally Forgot Played For England

5. Brian Little

Brian Little was a one club man, turning out for Aston Villa a colossal 302 times, scoring 82 times from 1971 to 1980. He won the Third Division title in that time, as well as winning two Football League Cups in 1975 and 1977. He's also notable for managing the side, picking up a third Football League Cup in 1996 which remains Villa's last domestic trophy. The Midlands club would go on to give him their ultimate honour by placing him in their Hall Of Fame.

Little was picked for the national side mid-way through his solid career, coming on as a substitute in a home nations derby against Wales in 1975. The game was part of the then-regular Home International Championship which England would go on to win. Little only got 17 minutes that day and that remains all of his England experience on the pitch.
