Brought to Goodison Park by ex-Wigan boss Roberto Martinez, Arouna Kone netted some important goals for his coach while in the blue and white of the Latics. Admittedly, the Ivorian appeared to be a rotation option, but with Steven Naismith stepping up to the plate and Romelu Lukaku signing permanently for the Toffees, first-team minutes look dangerously limited for the 30-year-old. Netting eleven goals for Wigan in the Premier League, after a 15-goal tally for Levante in La Liga the season beforehand, Kone does have some goalscoring pedigree - but is undeniably heading towards the end of his career at the top level.
