10 Forgotten Men Who Desperately Need To Move Before September

3. Arouna Kone

Brought to Goodison Park by ex-Wigan boss Roberto Martinez, Arouna Kone netted some important goals for his coach while in the blue and white of the Latics. Admittedly, the Ivorian appeared to be a rotation option, but with Steven Naismith stepping up to the plate and Romelu Lukaku signing permanently for the Toffees, first-team minutes look dangerously limited for the 30-year-old. Netting eleven goals for Wigan in the Premier League, after a 15-goal tally for Levante in La Liga the season beforehand, Kone does have some goalscoring pedigree - but is undeniably heading towards the end of his career at the top level. Enjoying his football in a number of different leagues, it would be easy to imagine plenty of clubs would be willing to take a risk on the Ivory Coast international given that natural goalscorers are gold dust. Injury crippled the majority of Kone's first season in an Everton shirt, but since being sidelined, Martinez's men have stepped up to a new level of performance, with several new faces capably filling the void left by Kone. His coach believes in him enough to give him a chance, but other options look likely to keep the Ivorian out of the side.
