10 Former Players Birmingham City Could Do With Now
4. Curtis Davies
It could be levelled at Curtis Davies that he has absolutely no loyalty to any of the sides in the Midlands, having appeared for the triad of West Brom, Aston Villa and Birmingham City during his career. Despite having spent a year less at St. Andrews than at either of the other clubs, he arguably played his best stuff there, featuring 106 times in two seasons for the Blues and scoring 12 goals from centre-half. Davies was a leader for Birmingham, and it was his rock-solid performances in the Championship that caught the eye of Hull City Steve Bruce and earned him the £2.25 million return to the Premier League in June 2013. The 29 year old has since gone from strength to strength, and was voted the Hull City Player of the Year for a year of excellence that culminated in the side reaching the FA Cup final - which Davies scored in. The former Luton Town centre-half has even been touted in recent months for an England call-up - how Birmingham City could do with a player with his leadership and determination at the moment.
