10 Former Strikers Spurs Wish They Had Now

7. Bobby Smith

Time At Spurs: 1955-1964. Games For Spurs: 317. Goals For Spurs: 208. Bobby Smith was an integral part of Bill Nicholson's famous and all-conquering double winning Tottenham team of the 1960-1961 season. He scored in the final of the FA Cup that year and in the final the following season when Spurs retained the trophy. He was also part of the team that won the 1963 UEFA Cup Winners' Cup. Smith was a no-nonsense and hard-as-nails striker with unrivalled grit and determination. He would scare defenders to death and had one hell of a knack for scoring goals - how they could do with someone like that right now, in their team which lacks any real fight or backbone. Smith scored an impressive 13 goals in 15 appearances for England and is Spurs' second top goalscorer of all time.
