10 Great Players Who Were Ruined By Chelsea

9. Kevin De Bruyne

Belgian Kevin De Bruyne joined Chelsea on 31 January 2012 showing the potential to become a great player at Chelsea. His career would not get going at the club though and before even making a league start was loaned to Werder Bremen where he would proceed to show what they were missing out on, scoring 10 goals in 33 starts in Germany. He soon returned to Chelsea, where he was assured that he would feature that season. In the January transfer window however, De Bruyne was sold for £18M to another German side Wolfsburg. With just two years and minimal chances to prove himself at Chelsea, Kevin De Bruyne was never given the opportunities to show just how good he could be. He joins the list of young, up and coming players brought into the club, only to be given the boot.
