Once one of the most deadly strikers in world football, Serbian Mateja Kezman now spends his days as a sports agent after retiring in 2011. After four years at Dutch club PSV Eindhoven, Kezman made the move to London with the promise of bringing excitement and more importantly goals with him. Jose Mourinho splashed out 5.3M for the striker, who moved with another exiting attacker Arjen Robben. The duo looked like they were the partnership that would tear Premier League apart and lead Chelsea to their first title in 50 years. His stats in the 2004-05 season illustrate a very different picture however. In his previous four seasons in Holland, Kezman scored 105 goals in 122 appearances and his previously mentioned partnership with Robben led to him garnering the nickname 'Batman'. One season consisting of 41 appearances and 7 goals wasn't good enough for Jose Mourinho to keep him on and after just one year, he was sold for the exact same price he was signed for to Spanish side Atletico Madrid. He would be the first of many strikers to make their way to London with the hope of making it big and creating a legacy that will last forever. Instead he left with a poor record and a distant memory in the minds of Chelsea fans.
