After a successful career as a Muay Thai fighter, Jedrzejczyk decided to give mixed martial arts a try. Of course, as we now know, things worked out quite well for the former UFC champ.

The talented striker would end up winning her first 14 professional fights. She holds victories over Carla Esparza, Claudia Gadelha, and current strawweight queen, Jessica Andrade.

Thanks to a title run that lasted over two years, Jedrzejczyk has the distinction of being the longest-reigning champ in the division's relatively short history. In fact, the only women to ever beat Jedrzejczyk at strawweight is Rose Namajunas. However, Namajunas was only able to defend the title once, while the native of Olsztyn, Poland defended the strap on five separate occasions.

At press time, Joanna Jedrzejczyk, whose record currently stands at 15-3, has the most impressive résumé in the history of the women's 115-pound division when one considers the caliber of fighters she's defeated.
