4. Tony Adams

Adam Butler/PA Wire/Press Association Images An absolute legend at Arsenal and one of the greatest players in the clubs history, Tony Adams is revered by Gunners fans across the world. He spent all 22 years of his playing career at Arsenal, winning four league titles, three FA Cups and two league cups. Adams is also regarded as one of Arsenals greatest ever captains and the statue of him outside the Emirates Stadium is a testament to how synonymous he has become with the club. A born leader, the centre back also captained England. As a player, Adams was without doubt one of the toughest. A classic English centre back, in the same mould of Terry Butcher. He was part of the back four which become famous for its 1-0 wins; with himself, Nigel Winterburn, Steve Bould and Lee Dixon forming a brilliant defensive unit. The leader of the pack, Adams would willingly put everything on the line for the cause. A true battler and a true hardman.
