10 Hardest Men Who Ever Played For Celtic

7. John Hartson

Lumbering centre-forward John Hartson saw his exploits in a Celtic shirt largely over-shadowed by those of his teammate Henrik Larsson, but that wasn't entirely fair. The big Welshman netted more than 100 goals over the course of a five-year spell with the Hoops, including a quarter-century in the season they nearly returned to the top of Europe in 2003.

In terms of hardness, just ask the defenders he bullied inside the penalty box for a decade, or better yet: ask Eyal Berkovic, who was kicked in the face by Hartson whilst they were teammates at West Ham.

The 42-year-old, though, seems to be a reformed character these days - his most recent fight coming against cancer, which he also beat - and can now be seen doing the odd bit of punditry on the BBC.
