10 High-Profile Spurs Bust-Ups

9. Tim Sherwood & Roberto Soldado

Spurs were hammered 4-0 by Liverpool in March of 2014 and Tim Sherwood, who was in charge at White Hart Lane at the time, was said to be fuming about the performance. The ex-Spurs player kept his team in the dressing room after the match for a 45 minute dressing down and he apparently targeted misfiring Spanish striker Roberto Soldado for particular criticism. The pair exchanged fiery words and fell out over it, but it wasn't as bad as was reported in the newspapers - as it was claimed that Sherwood had punched Soldado in the face! Both Soldado and his Spurs team-mate Aaron Lennon spoke out on Twitter to deny that. Soldado tweeted €œBad game today and our options to reach Champions League decrease! It is time now, more than ever, to fight together. Rumours do not benefit (us) at all, and everything that has been said is absolutely false€ while Lennon tweeted €œToday was not good enough and we let everyone down. But the rumours about the boss hitting someone are b*******. Crazy how powerful Twitter is.€ So while the pair definitely fell out, there were certainly no punches thrown.
