Back in 2011 when Spurs were on their impressive Champions League run - a run that took them to the Quarter Finals of the competition at their first attempt - the Lilywhites earned an impressive 1-0 victory at the San Siro stadium over AC Milan. However, Peter Crouch's winning goal would not be the major talking point of the match, as an exchange between Gennaro Gattuso and Spurs' coach Joe Jordan took the spotlight. The pair had already clashed on the touchline during a bad-tempered second half in which Mathieu Flamini escaped with a only booking for a two-footed challenge on Vedran Corluka, but as tempers flared at full time, the 5' 9" midfielder took his life in his hands as he dished out a headbutt to the legendary 6' 1" hardman. Gattuso would earn a four match ban for his troubles and later issued apology of sorts, saying the pair were "speaking Scottish" to each other - Gattuso having previous played for Rangers.
