It's not that he's bad, it's that he's not in the top tier just yet. 45K to show and another 45K to win seems awfully high when you have UFC champions like Ronda Rousey, who sells more tickets and Pay-per-Views than Masvidal ever will, making only 60K to show and another 60K to win in her last fight at UFC 175. Rousey likely gets a hefty PPV dollar bonus and a "being the UFC's "It" girl" bonus" but it doesn't change the fact that a guy ranked outside the top ten in his division is pulling in almost as much money as one of the company's biggest stars. We want to say that Masvidal is making money based off his Strikeforce contract, and maybe that's true - but Rousey was a Strikeforce fighter herself, their last bantamweight champion.
