5. Clearing Up The Unfinished Business
https://twitter.com/StGeorgeGroves/status/467226330569142272 The tagline for the rematch is unfinished business, and justifiably so: whilst Howard Foster did make a catastrophic error during the first fight, without the forced stoppage would we be here now? George Groves was wobbled by a right hand by Froch - the same punch Froch attempted as he got put on the canvas in the first round. Viewers could see the shot being lined up by Froch as he pulled his shorts down his waist, to shift his weight through his hips and generate more power. The shot took forever to get to Groves, but when it did land to the side of the head Froch knew Groves was gone. Most likely Froch would have continued to land heavy punches in combinations in the same way he finished off Lucian Bute: it was the only major success Froch had in the whole fight where he hurt Groves, and hough he did land combinations before the stoppage Groves was always in control, countering. The winner of the fight will fight James DeGale if he beats Brandon Gonzales on the undercard and will be mandatory to fight the winner. If Groves and DeGale do both pick up victories, Groves will be in another unfinished business bout as the first fight between Groves and DeGale was evenly split on the scorecards.
