10 Idiotic Decisions Made By Former Newcastle Players

4. Yohan Cabaye Went For Greener Grass In Paris

Despite being classed as a hero who was sold from under Alan Pardew's nose, destabilising the team and sending them into the spiral of poor performances they are currently still in, Yohan Cabaye never wanted to stay at Newcastle. When he was given the chance to sign for Arsenal, he had no interest in staying at Newcastle, and when PSG came in with a £20m ish offer, he also had no interest in staying at Newcastle. He might say now that he is behind Alan Pardew, and can't see why the players aren't just pulling their fingers out, but this - remember - is the same player who sulkily went on strike when he wasn't allowed a move away last season. But for all of his happiness at signing for PSG, and public statements that he definitely doesn't regret leaving Newcastle, the France international is no more than a bit-part player at PSG and sees his first-team appearances severely limited by the expensive talents vying for his position. And now he openly admits that if this continues and begins to affect his chances of playing for his country he will have to evaluate. Meanwhile every Newcastle fan with half a brain is resisting the urge not to shout "we told you so!!' across the Channel.
