10 Impact Signings Bellator Have Made Since 2015

4. Phil Davis

A veteran of 13 UFC fights and a former light heavyweight top contender, Davis was signed by Bellator in April 2015. 'Mr. Wonderful' made quick work of the light heavyweight division, winning his first four fights, the final of which was for the title belt against Liam McGeary.

During a one-year span, Davis also topped Emanuel Newton, Francis Carmont, and former Strikeforce light heavyweight champion Muhammed 'King Mo' Lawal. A title loss to a debuting Ryan Bader at Bellator NYC zapped some of his momentum, but should fuel 'Mr. Wonderful' even more in his hunt to reach the top of the mountain once more.
