10 Legends You Won't Believe Are Out Of Contract Next Summer

2. Giorgio Chiellini

While many will recognise Giorgio Chiellini as the man Uruguay striker Luis Suarez sunk his teeth into during this summer€™s World Cup, the Italian defender has been one of the best in his position for almost a decade. Chiellini, 30, joined Juventus in 2005, and has gone on to win Serie A titles with the Old Lady, and the 2006 World Cup with his native Italy. He€™s been a part of Juventus€™ best period of success and still has many years ahead of him, so why the side have so far failed to tie him down to a long contract is beyond many. Last season, the defender made 31 Serie A appearances for the Black and Whites, scoring three goals and making three assists. He helped the Italian side not only to their third consecutive league title, but boasted the best defensive record in Serie A - conceding just 23 goals and keeping 22 clean sheets. There will be a host of clubs after his signature next summer if Juventus don€™t open contract talks for him soon.
