10 Legends You Won't Believe Are Out Of Contract Next Summer

3. Marcelo

Real Madrid left-back Marcelo will be surprise name on the list, due to the Brazilian having been a regular in the team when fit, but he€™s potentially up for grabs in January on a pre-contract deal as his contract with Real has less than a year left. Marcelo has played well over 200 games for Los Blancos, and is regarded by many as one of the best in his position. The former Fluminense man has enjoyed a successful club career too, winning three La Liga titles, two Copa Del Rey€™s and a Champions League trophy - all before the age of 27. Marcelo hasn€™t had a bad international career either, with the defender having helped the side to a runner-up medal in the FIFA U17 World Cup in 2005, a Bronze Medal in the 2008 Olympics, a Silver Medal in 2012, and winning the 2013 Confederations Cup. He would walk into the majority of teams in Europe, and his age would also suggest he should fetch a large transfer fee, so Real certainly won€™t want to see him leave for nothing next summer.
