Despite the bottom place, crowd vocal support and encouragement has not wavered. There have been no rumblings of discontent, no boos as the team has left the pitch, no gripes at Sean Dyche. How could there be? In fact it has been the opposite: it cannot be said enough that no-one expected to be in the Premier League in the first place, and this is all still a bit of a dream. What a chance to see players like Di Maria, Fabregas, Drogba and Etoo: world class players. Chelsea came and we pinched ourselves; Manchester United came and we pinched ourselves. We lost to West Ham but had played them off the park in the first 45 minutes; we lost to Everton because Samuel Etoo chose this game to put on a masterclass. He probably wont ever play as well again. And then came the win against Hull City. It was the smallest crowd of the season but pumped out the loudest volume of support and backing. It was a day made for an upset and Hull were the victims. We kind of knew on the day that this was it and that the win would come and indeed it did. And now it's clearly easier to win already. In a survey Turf Moor was found to be one of the top grounds for atmosphere and support, Hull was a day when it was fully evident. It was a day when the crowd really was the twelfth man, and the fans have since proved their passion in away games - not least against Stoke.
