The captain of Saudi Arabia, Osama Hawsawi plays his club football at Al-Hilal and has spent time with other Saudi clubs over the course of his career, but did have a very brief stint at Belgian club Anderlecht, playing just once for the club before heading back to his homeland.

A tall, strong defender, Hawsawi will be the man to watch in Saudi Arabia's backline as the team hope to keep a clean sheet or two in the group stage. He also poses a bit of a threat from set pieces, having scored 7 times in 135 appearances for his nation in an international career that began way back in 2006.

Like his fellow countryman Taisir Al-Jassim, Hawsawi proved that he could hang with the biggest and best squads on the planet when he scored against Spain in a 3-2 friendly defeat back in 2010. He's been a reliable performer for his nation over the years and younger players will be looking to him to lead the way this summer.
