Captain of Spain and Real Madrid, Sergio Ramos is one of the greatest defenders the sport has seen in the last decade. The 32-year-old has often been the source of controversy, most recently in the Champions League final in which he was accused of hauling Liverpool's Mohamed Salah to the ground and intentionally injuring the Egyptian, but there can be no denying Ramos' supreme talents.

A born winner and natural leader, Ramos has won pretty much everything worth winning over the course of his career, including the 2010 World Cup, but he'll be hoping to lift that famous trophy for the second time this year as part of a strong Spanish squad.

Back in 2010, he played as a right-back as Spain stormed to the title, but this year he'll be right in the middle of defence alongside Barcelona's Gerard Piqué. Ramos has never scored at a major tournament but has netted 13 times for Spain so far and is one of the side's key players.
