10 Most Embarrassing Old Firm European Nights

7. Legia Warsaw 4-1 Celtic (July 2014)

Amazingly, lightning struck twice for the Celts as they managed to endure another hammering in a qualifier and still go through. Callum McGregor's early long range stunner put the Bhoys in a great position as they scored an away goal, but it only seemed to anger their Polish counterparts. Legia equalised within a minute after a neat finish from Miroslav Radovic, who added another before half time, and then Efe Ambrose got himself sent off to leave Celtic with a mountain to climb. Warsaw added two more goals in the last ten minutes, but their effort was in vain as they were removed from the Champions League after fielding a suspended player. It was only a brief reprieve though for Celtic who went through to the next round only to be promptly dumped out by Maribor much to the delight of Legia Warsaw who had demanded a replay.
