A huge question mark surrounds the final player on this list, Oumar Niasse, a man who frequently featured on 'worst signing of the Premier League era' lists until recently, when he threatened to prove everyone wrong.

Nobody knows the full story behind the Senegalese striker's Goodison plight. He was signed by Roberto Martinez for a cool £13.5 million in 2016, but the Spaniard seemed reluctant to play him and Ronald Koeman was dead against that idea when he first took charge of the club the following season.
