As we've already mentioned, Spurs only have three senior strikers at the club. One is Emmanuel Adebayor, who we know can be great on his day, another is Harry Kane, who is still young and not ever necessarily going to be good enough for a team aiming for the top four, and the other is Roberto Soldado. Soldado joined the club a year ago for £26 million from Valencia. He came with a big reputation, having been a prolific striker in La Liga for several seasons, but he just couldn't emulate that form in England - he scored just six league goals and four of them came from the penalty spot. The argument can be made that Spurs weren't playing to his strengths and that he needed a season to adapt, but he absolutely must deliver this season and it is generally expected that he will. So, on the condition that he ups his game, the Spanish international could well provide Spurs with the twenty goals they require of a man of his calibre and, if that happens, he may well fire the club to the very top end of the league table.
