10 Most Legendary Old Firm European Nights

5. Zenit 2-0 Rangers (May 2008)

Rangers route to the final was altogether far more impressive than their showing on the big stage, but it is a night their fans will never forget. The Gers faced former boss Dick Advocaat and his thrilling Zenit side who enthralled hipsters with some awesome attacking football led by the little Russian artist, Andrey Arshavin. It was Arshavin who inspired them again on this occasion as he found pockets were there seemed to be none to set up Igor Denisov and Konstantin Zyryranov for their goals. The Rangers fans travelled to Manchester in their droves, so much so it almost felt like a home match. However, it wasn€™t enough to secure the side€™s second European trophy.
