10 Most Memorable Rangers Wins Over Celtic

10. 3-2 Redemption At Ibrox (2012)

By the time this particular match took place on the 25th March, 2012, Glasgow Rangers had already entered administration. The atmosphere around Ibrox Stadium was foul, and things would only worsen that coming Summer as the business behind the football club was liquidated, throwing the actual football side of things right up in the air. No, there wasn't a lot for Rangers fans to cheer about in 2012, but this victory over Celtic was one bright spot in an otherwise tumultuous period. The mission was clear, stop Celtic from winning the Scottish Premier League Title at Ibrox. The green and white side of Glasgow had all but wrapped up the championship, but it would have been yet another slap in the face to Gers fans had they been able to capture the title at the home of their fierce rivals. Cheerfully, they didn't, and Rangers entered one of their best performances of the entire year. By the time Scott Brown pulled one back for Celtic from the penalty spot, Rangers were already 3-0 up. Goals from Sone Aluko, Andy Little and Lee Wallace had secured victory, and even a late flurry of strikes from their opponents couldn't change that. For the most brief of periods, the dark clouds over Ibrox lifted, and this remains Rangers last victory over Celtic to date.
