10 Most Unfortunate MMA Injuries Of 2014

9. Jose Aldo Pulls Out Of UFC 176

UFC 176 was scheduled for early August 2014. Thanks to an injury to featherweight champion Jose Aldo, however, UFC 176 has become one of two UFC non-events in Zuffa history: the second UFC event to be cancelled. Aldo had been scheduled to fight Chad Mendes at the event, but suffered a shoulder injury during training camp. Due to poor match-making on the UFC's part, there were no other suitable options for the main event, and the entire show was cancelled, with scheduled fights being shifted around to other events. We did get the fight at UFC 179 a few months later however.
